The UJF-MkII e, Mimaki's three new small format printers for direct to object printing

With these three UJF-MkII e printers, Mimaki enhances its range for advertising printing and object personalization.

The Japanese manufacturer Mimaki launches a new series of small format printers dedicated to direct-to-object printing, the UJF-MkII e series, which replaces the previous range (the UJF-MkII).

This new UJF-MkII e series includes three models designed to print at 1200x1200 dpi on a wide variety of soft and hard substrates, including leather, wood, acrylic, metal and glass: the UJF-3042MkII e , the UJF-6042MkII e and uJF-3042MkII Ex e .

The UJF-3042MkII e and UJF-3042MkII Ex e printers are equipped with a print area of 300 x 420 mm and for media up to 153 mm high.
The UJF-3042MkII Ex e (Ex for Extra) model differs from the UJF-3042MkII e in its higher productivity as well as its number of print heads, which is four compared to three for the UJF-3042MkII e. With a print head capable of printing two different colors at the same time, the four-head configuration allows the addition of white ink, varnish and primer to the classic CMYK.

The UJF-6042MkII e model has a larger 610 x 420 mm print deck, still with a maximum media height of 153 mm, and also has four print heads.

These printers are also equipped with a height sensor that prevents the print heads from coming into contact with the material during printing. "It can even detect transparent materials for superior accuracy and extremely controlled detection." underlines the Japanese manufacturer.

The UJF printer series supports MDL (Mimaki Device Language) commands, which allows users to control the printers from production systems and external devices.

With the integration of the new RasterLink7 standard RIP software, these new models allow easy numbering and printing of variable data, according to Mimaki.

All new UJF Series UV inks are Greenguard Gold certified.
