When Julien Tillier took over Roué Imprimerie in May 2023, he knew the company inside out. A former salesman with the company based in Jeumont in the Nord region of France, he was keen to relaunch a company in difficulty, and had a clear strategy: reinvest, modernize and get back on track. Two years later, the first results are in.
Today, sales exceed the million euro mark, following a 40% increase in the first year, and a further 30% rise. Three new hires have accompanied this dynamic, bringing the workforce to seven. An eighth person will be joining the team full-time in a few months' time.
A brand-new 900 m2 site at a cost of over one million euros
To support this trajectory, Julien Tillier has decided to invest 1.5 million euros in the construction of a new 900 m 2 . Delivery scheduled for spring 2027.
The new site will not only enable the company to move from the town center, where it has been located since its foundation in 1936, to the industrial estate, but also optimize production flows and provide a more functional working environment. Shipping areas, thermal performance, large-format capacity and production and office spaces are all designed to meet the company's current needs and anticipate future developments.
Strong growth driven by enhanced responsiveness and a broader offering
This real estate project accompanies a more global transformation of the company, led at a steady pace by Julien Tillier and his team.
"We're dynamic and willing. Every day is played out at 300 km/h." sums up Julien Tillier. For him, the first step to recovery is active proximity with customers. "We've worked hard on our responsiveness and our ability to offer technical solutions with new media and creative solutions."
Large format, although now more present, accounting for half of sales compared to 20% previously, is integrated as one of the components of this evolution. "This segment has made progress, but it's part of a wider picture" says the company manager. The print shop doubled its digital production capacity at the end of last year, with the arrival of an HP Latex 630 with white. A laminator, a laminating machine and other equipment have also been added.
A goal: to recapture the Roué printing company's heyday
Julien Tillier makes no secret of the fact that he is considering a new investment in a large-format digital press, in line with evolving customer needs and the diversification of substrates.
The aim now is to continue this impressive growth: to reach sales of 1.5 million euros within three years, with a team of ten employees "as in the heyday of Roué printing."
