First French Jetfire 50 for Perfectmix. The printer, based in Saint-Laurent-du-Var in the Alpes-Maritimes department, has put Heidelberg?s sheet-fed inkjet press into production.
This installation responds to changing demand in the commercial printing market, where shorter runs, personalized content, and tighter deadlines are becoming increasingly important. The Jetfire 50 complements the offset production capabilities already in use by the group, which operates a second production facility in Villeneuve in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region.
Perfectmix has integrated the Jetfire 50 into its Heidelberg Prinect Production Manager workflow, thereby creating a coordinated hybrid printing process. "This level of automation allows the company to optimize order management, streamline many steps, and easily switch from offset printing to digital printing." Heidelberg states.
"The Jetfire 50 perfectly complements our offset and finishing equipment and allows us to optimize our production, particularly for short- and medium-run jobs: personalized printed materials, small runs of premium products, or products requiring finishing operations." , say Franck Vitaloni and Jean-Pierre Geiser, the two executives at Perfectmix.
For Heidelberg, this commissioning marks a new milestone in the commercial launch of the Jetfire 50. The manufacturer notes that an increasing number of customers are supplementing their offset production capabilities with this inkjet printing system. "In fact, in a hybrid production environment, where offset and digital printing are integrated via Prinect into a continuous workflow, each printing process leverages its respective strengths, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production for all print runs." explains the German manufacturer.
The manufacturer plans to open new facilities in several Asian countries as well as in Northern Europe over the coming months.
