German web offset press manufacturer Manroland Goss and Dutch optical measurement and control system supplier QIPC-EAE have ended their dispute. In a joint press release, the two groups announced that they have reached an agreement regarding copyright infringement disputes.
These cases involved the addition of third-party solutions that interact with manroland Goss' proprietary PECOM software. These add-on solutions require a corresponding interface license provided by the German OEM.
"By their mutual agreement, the parties have not only put an end to the ongoing legal proceedings, but they are also allowing their clients to operate their presses in a legally uncontested manner."
