New acquisition for food packaging manufacturer Guillin

With this acquisition, the French group Guillin continues its strategy of offering the widest range of multi-material food packaging in its markets.

One year later the acquisition of Gault et Frémont the Guillin Group, listed on Euronext Growth, has added a new company, this time Italian, the family-owned Ciesse Paper, which has a turnover of 28 million euros.

The manufacturer of food packaging solutions has announced that it has acquired 90% of the shares of this manufacturer, which specializes in cardboard packaging for the food industry, the fruit and vegetable industry and the catering industry.

Guillin, which is already composed of 30 companies and has a turnover of 741 million euros, wishes to "to offer the widest range of multi-material food packaging on its markets and thus meet all its customers' needs".

"This acquisition is completely in line with our strategy of developing and strengthening our presence in the fruit and vegetable sector in Italy and more widely in Europe." says Sophie Guillin, general manager of the group of 2,900 employees.

Ciesse Paper is located near Mantua, "ideal location to supply the main fruit and vegetable production areas both in Italy and in Europe".

Elisa and Lorenzo Govi, the current managers of Ciesse Paper, retain the remaining 10% and continue in their operational roles within the company.
