The Guillin family group expands with a 27th company.

The negotiations announced last March have been completed . Based in Ornans in the Doubs region, Guillin, the European leader in food packaging solutions, has just acquired the manufacturer Gault et Frémont from the investment company UI Investissement.

Gault et Frémont, the Indre-et-Loire-based manufacturer of paper bags, cardboard boxes and baking paper for the food industry, reported sales of 63 million euros in 2020. The group, which employs 270 people at four production sites, three in France and one in Belgium, joins its colleague Guillin, which has annual sales of ?619 million.

"This strategic acquisition is a further step towards expanding our offering and strengthening our technological, industrial and commercial know-how." says Sophie Guillin, general manager of the family-owned group with 2,600 employees.

Gault et Frémont thus becomes the 27th company in the group to be listed on Euronext Growth. For Rémy Boitier, President of Gault et Frémont, this is the first time the company has crossed the "a new course" . "Alongside UI Investissement's teams, the group has structured itself to engage in responsible and efficient development, with investments in innovation and industrial facilities as well as several commitments to the environment and recycling."
The president's plans include "to conquer new segments and achieve its ambitions on a European scale".
