With this acquisition, Nefab is getting closer to its customers and their operations.

The Swedish group Nefab, which develops customized industrial packaging solutions with a focus on environmental protection (such as wooden moss ), acquires the Swiss manufacturer Cargopack.

Cargopack specializes in wood-based export packaging for the transportation of capital goods and in logistics services. It operates nine sites, including a shipping crate factory.

"With this strategic acquisition, we are establishing Nefab in the important Swiss market. This strengthened presence will allow us to be even closer to our customers' headquarters, their local operations and strategic decision makers." says Per Öhagen, president and CEO of the Nefab Group, in a statement.

"Being part of the Nefab Group will allow our company to accelerate its growth by benefiting from Nefab's global footprint and business strategy." says Roger Winiger, CEO of Cargopack.

The Nefab Group will now have approximately 4,200 employees in 35 countries and an estimated turnover of SEK 9 billion (EUR 822 million).
