Swedish papermaker Arctic Paper is launching Munken Creator, a web application for creating font animations in an experimental way. The free, online app is based on the Munken Sans font, created in 2020 for the new of its Munken paper line.
Under the theme Raising Questions, the Swedish paper manufacturer invites designers to develop and experiment with typographic design with animated and non-animated visual messages with this font. Numerous parameters such as rotation, letter spacing, background image insertion, size or position changes allow for unlimited typographic creation.
"The typographic creations on the theme of questioning aim to encourage everyone to think beyond our current modes of communication. Questions are the answers of our time. When they are relevant, they open up new perspectives and can be messages of change." says the Nordic group.
Arctic Paper invites creators to use their creations in print or digital projects. Munken Creator creations can be saved as image files, but also as videos in WebM and MP4 formats, to be used as suggested by Arctic Paper, for projects ranging from books to projections on the walls of houses.
