Hybrid Software acquires French company Quadraxis

The software developer strengthens its offer in the treatment of anamorphosis in packaging.

UK-based industrial print manufacturing software company Hybrid Software has taken over French company Quadraxis, which went into receivership last July.

Based in Saint-LÃ' in the Manche department, Quadraxis has developed a 3D scanning and image processing technology for anamorphic packaging printing. Hybrid Software acquired the intellectual property, including the source code of the various software, as well as the trade names of Quadraxis (such as Quadraxis Thermo3D or Quadraxis Sleeve3D).

"Over its 19 years in business, Quadraxis has developed unique technology to simplify the capture of 3D models to facilitate the distortion of graphic designs for shrink sleeves, embossed metal and thermoformed plastic packaging." says Nick de Roeck, co-president of Hybrid. Software.

He continues: "Many companies in the packaging industry use Quadraxis technology in their automated workflows to make packaging production less manual and more efficient. (âeuros¦) We regret that the company went into receivership and we really wanted to save this technology."

The group plans to add Quadraxis software to its portfolio that includes other 3D applications such as iC3D and Met3D and will continue to support existing Quadraxis software users.
