And Apex is creating a new division dedicated to embossing, a technique in which it sees "unlimited possibilities."

Dutch anilox roll manufacturer Apex International has announced the acquisition of two companies: Panhuizen Gravure Industry of the Netherlands and Keller Dorian Graphics of France. Among their various engraved roll activities, Apex was attracted by their embossing roll technologies.

"For years, Apex has seen an international demand to have a single supplier that can offer all the different embossing technologies." says Apex President Ken Ralton.

Located in Jonage in the Rhône region, Keller Dorian, founded in 1872, specializes in rotogravure cylinders, anilox rollers and embossing rollers for flooring and laminate applications, wall coverings, cigarette paper watermarking and glass decorations.

With these two acquisitions, each of which includes a production facility, Apex has created the Apex Embossing Division. "Apex International is now able to also offer an end-to-end service to customers who previously would have had to work with multiple suppliers to perform the various embossing techniques required."

Embossing is used in many industries, including construction, fashion and paper products, but as the technology develops, Apex sees this versatile technology as "unlimited possibilities".
