Cardboard yoghurt pot: a solution made in France by CEE Schisler

With its new yoghurt pot, the French company CEE Schisler finally offers a solution that can be recycled in the classic paper/cardboard stream.

The company specializing in paper and cardboard packaging with 600 employees, CEE Schisler, is innovating in the field of food with the launch of a yoghurt pot mainly made of cardboard and manufactured in France.

Finally an easy to recycle yogurt pot

Designed and manufactured in Thouars in the Deux-SeÌeurosvres region of France by CEE Schisler, this 80% cardboard pot offers an alternative to polystyrene (PS) pots for which no recycling channel exists in France. These are now recycled in Spain and Germany where they are used to make hangers or flower pots. "Current outlets are therefore low value-added and the recycling yield is quite low." can be found on the Citeo website.

After consumption, the empty jar is simply placed in the sorting bin to be recycled in the paper/cardboard waste stream.

A solution to reduce plastic use

The new cardboard product reduces the use of plastic by 80 percent. The printing is done with water-based inks, more environmentally friendly than solvent inks, says CEE Schisler.

By using this fiber container, yogurt brands are responding to the growing consumer demand for environmentally friendly products.

With this cardboard yogurt pot made in France, the French industry demonstrates once again its commitment and innovation in the field of ecological packaging.
