Zünd has completely revised its Zünd Cut Center (ZCC) control software. With version 4, the Swiss manufacturer of cutting tables offers new possibilities in order-picking automation and even more efficient cutting.
At the heart of this new version of the production workflow is a redesigned on-screen user interface. The user interface guides the operator through all stages of order picking and cutter control. The ZCC 4.0 can be equipped with a touch screen.
Thanks to its client-server architecture, Zünd Cut Center 4 adapts to a company's specific production needs. Users purchase only the software components they need, and can add options at a later date.
Key components of the ZCC include the Cut Editor, which facilitates the import and preparation of source files for cutting, and the Cut Server, which manages automated data import and data exchange with other systems.
Zünd has developed the data import function in ZCC 4.0, which supports almost all import formats. "Given the diversity of file formats that users receive from their customers on a daily basis, this is a significant advantage." says Zünd.
Workflow also facilitates automated order picking by sorting jobs according to criteria such as material, processing method or delivery time.
For printed materials, orders are entered automatically via QR codes. For non-printed materials, the order sequence can be defined.
What's more, the new version also offers the possibility of cutting different orders simultaneously on a Zünd cutting table.
Other new features include the versions. The ZCC is now available in two versions. The first, Zünd Cut Center Basic, is designed for simple production environments with no need for advanced functions. The second, Zünd Cut Center Advanced, is aimed at users with higher workloads, who are looking to automate more processes thanks to the order list, indications of estimated production time, import via Hotfolder or e-mail notifications.
Finally, ZCC 4 is offered as a perpetual license with software maintenance included. This license not only ensures that the software runs smoothly, but also allows users to benefit from all ZCC's new options and features, from patches to full updates.
