Eco3 announces Apogee v15, the update of its prepress workflow software for commercial printing. This new version, which will be unveiled in greater detail shortly, is designed to respond to the decline in print runs and the increase in reprints. To achieve this, Eco3, in collaboration with Graphic Communications, a division of U.S.-based CAI Software offers two major new features.
First of all, the most structuring point of this release is the Apogee Scripting Engine. The Apogee Scripting Engine enables prepress workflows to be linked to ERP and MIS systems without software development. This will greatly simplify data exchanges between prepress and production systems.
Arnaud Becuwe, Software Manager at Eco3, explains: "Printers often optimize software tools according to their production needs, resulting in customized integrations. The Apogee Scripting Engine uses a wizard-driven approach to integrate advanced ERP and production systems, increasing automation."
Secondly, Apogee v15 introduces enhanced job management and archiving features, simplifying the search, reuse and management of archived jobs, says Eco3.
Matt Prusa, Director of Partnerships and Alliances at Graphic Communications, adds: "With Apogee v15, our collaboration - between Eco3 and Graphic Communications - brings tangible value to printers by simplifying integration between prepress workflows and MIS environments, reducing complexity, and enabling printers to operate more efficiently as volumes increase and print runs continue to decrease."
The new version will be presented in greater detail at Graphic Communications' Connect 2026 event, to be held in Las Vegas from February 10 to 12, 2026.
