New version of Caldera PrimeCenter

Designed to integrate with large-format digital workflows, PrimeCenter evolves with more flexible functions and extended compatibilities. The focus is on multi-layer job management, SGP format cutting and workflow continuity.

Caldera launches PrimeCenter 4.4 on its CalderaDock platform. According to the publisher, this update to its large-format prepress and nesting software brings a number of enhancements designed to improve precision, flexibility and automation in graphics production environments.

The software, which automates tasks related to the preparation of files for printing and cutting, now includes a double-sided and multi-layer tool "newly optimized caldera's new presses are designed to handle multi-layer or double-sided jobs with greater precision. Caldera cites reduced set-up times and improved reliability for applications such as backlit graphics and decals.

Integration with CalderaRIP is maintained to ensure continuity between file creation and printing, with a workflow presented as fluid and consistent.

Other notable changes include the integration of the Summa GoSign driver in version 4.4. This compatibility enables cutting files to be exported in SGP format, and to take advantage of Summa PostNet optical codes.

Caldera also affirms that this evolution is part of its commitment to maintaining an open production environment, capable of interfacing with the market's leading hardware and software.

Another new feature in PrimeCenter 4.4 is the ability to add or remove contours from the software dictionary, even while recipes are running. Changes are applied immediately to manual recipes, and automatically when active recipes are restarted.
According to Caldera, this new feature provides a useful level of flexibility for dealing with last-minute modifications or corrections, without causing production downtime.
