New features for Fiery XF 9 large-format RIP: variable data, color control and AI
The new version of Fiery's large-format RIP has three major new features, including compatibility with Fiery FreeForm Create 2.0 variable data software and the Fiery ColorGuard tool.
The major new feature of Fiery XF 9 is its compatibility with Fiery FreeForm Create 2.0, the publisher's variable data printing software (available as a free download). This makes it possible to use a single variable data creation process on all Fiery Driven printers, without multiplying tools. This should make it simpler to create targeted productions and multiple customized versions of images, text and barcodes.
Fiery XF 9 is also compatible with Fiery ColorGuard, the cloud-based color control tool, which includes functions for verification, deviation correction and evaluation over time, and colorimetric compliance.
In addition, this new version of Fiery's large-format RIP features AI-based automatic bleed generation. This function produces canvas-wrapped edges and will limit quality problems when the bleed has not been planned for in prepress.
"Everything is driven by Fiery Command WorkStation, the reference interface for commercial and industrial print teams. This unified experience delivers the speed, simplicity and reliability our customers expect." adds John Henze, vice-president of sales and marketing at Fiery.
