4 new features on the Mimaki UJV100-160Plus printer

The UJV100-160Plus large-format printer requires low power and ink consumption, while offering new printing and cutting functions.

Mimaki launches a more advanced version of the UJV100-160 UV printer. The UJV100-160Plus, a 1,610 mm web width reel-to-reel machine, features four major innovations.

Save electricity and ink with the UJV100-160Plus

First of all, this entry-level model, available in CMYK plus white plus varnish, has been designed to consume only a small amount of energy. With a power rating of just 0.5 kW (compared with 1.92 kW for the previous model), the UJV100-160Plus consumes half as much electricity as other eco-solvent, latex or resin printers on the market, claims the Japanese brand.

What's more, the UJV100-160Plus digital printer is equipped with an ink-saving function that halves ink consumption while maintaining color balance.

Three-coat printing

Secondly, Mimaki's UJV100-160Plus printer is equipped with a pull-back printing function that enables three-layer printing without having to manually replace the substrate.
This function can be used, for example, to create backlit displays with vivid colors day and night (with four-color process - white - four-color process).

Simplified cutting paths

Finally, the UJV100-160Plus connects directly to Mimaki's CG-AR cutting plotters.
No need to use the Finecut9 cutting plug-in. Cutting data are transmitted directly from the RasterLink7 RIP to the plotter.

And when combined with a CG-AR cutting plotter, the UJV100-160Plus can also benefit from Mimaki's ID Cut function, which enables automatic printing and cutting operations with minimal intervention.
