This acquisition strengthens Tecnau's offering in the direct mail, transpromo and intralogistics markets.

Tecnau, the Italian manufacturer of finishing solutions for transactional printing, transpromotional printing, direct mail, publishing, graphic arts, book-on-demand and short-run printing, recently consolidated its position in the e-logistics sector by acquiring fellow Italian Sitma.

This move is in line with the diversification undertaken by the group based in Ivrea near Turin last February with the inauguration of its Tecnau Automation and Packaging division, dedicated to the industrial automation of packaging.

In addition to enriching its offering in the e-logistics segment, the acquisition of Sitma enables Tecnau to strengthen its position in the graphics industry with the addition of a well-established brand.

Tecnau, which employs 230 people at six sites, plans to invest in new Sitma products for traditional segments and in new areas.

In addition, Sitma, headquartered in Spilamberto, has sales and service offices in France, Japan and the USA, complementing the international presence of Tecnau, which has plants in the USA, Germany, Belgium, Singapore and Sweden.

Together, Tecnau and Sitma form a network covering more than 50 countries worldwide. With around 370 employees, these two companies will have combined sales of $100 million in fiscal 2022.

And Stefano De Marco, President and CEO of Tecnau, underlined the Group's interest in the potential synergies between Sitma's recent innovations and Tecnau's new Automation & Packaging division.
