Expanding its Fit2size fanfold corrugated board brand seems to have become a priority for the Belgian VPK Group. After a acquisition of a majority stake in Italian company Zetacarton, VPK has signed an agreement with Ribble, another British fanfold producer, to acquire a minority stake in the company. Ribble, based in Oldham, Lancashire, generated sales of 40 million euros in 2022 and employs around 100 people.
This investment brings VPK into partnership with one of the UK's leading manufacturers of fanfold corrugated board. "We are confident that we have found an ideal partner who shares our values and will support our ambition to grow in the rapidly evolving sustainable packaging market." says Stephen Rector, Ribble's Managing Director.
The VPK Group is continuing its European expansion its vertically integrated business model" . The Belgian paper and packaging manufacturer will be able to supply e-commerce logistics distribution centers in three European countries with fanfold corrugated board, which eliminates empty space in boxes and cushioning products.
