Strasbourg-based digital printing software publisher Caldera unveils new solutions for direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) printing.
Key features include color management, background removal, intelligent white management, ink management and an easy-to-use graphical interface.
Initially, the Caldera Direct-to-X product range will only be available from DTG and DTF printer manufacturers.
The range will be completed by Caldera Direct-to-Object and Caldera Direct-to-Fabric, which will then form the Direct-to-X suite. The Direct-to-X suite is aimed at the garment decoration market, for users who "want to offer their customers complete customization, from one-off pieces to small production runs".
Future Caldera Direct-to-X software will be the first Caldera RIP software to run natively on Windows, as well as on macOS and Linux.
"In addition to being integrated into the new DTG and DTF printers, Caldera Direct-to-X solutions will be made available to customers as annual subscriptions later this year." says Sebastien Hanssens, VP Marketing and Operations. "They will suit a range of desktop, industrial and hybrid printers."
