Connivence printing works faces the challenge of receivership

Founded in 1984 and part of the Le Nouvel R group since 2018, Connivence is facing major economic difficulties, from the Covid crisis to soaring energy and paper costs. Placed in receivership, the Anjou-based company remains determined to preserve its know-how and jobs.

Founded in 1984 as Imprimerie Publi Graphic Ralliement, Connivence has forged a solid reputation for high-quality printing. It has evolved over the years, integrating new skills such as complete project management, recognized by the "Agence" trophy in 2013. With fourteen employees and a heritage marked by awards such as "star de l'imprimerie" in 2011, it is a historic player in the Angers region printing industry.

The company, integrated into the Le Nouvel R group in 2018, has been particularly hard hit by recent crises. The Covid-19 pandemic led to a significant drop in activity for many printing plants. Added to this was an unprecedented rise in production costs, particularly those of paper and energy, which weighed heavily on small and medium-sized structures. These difficulties led to the company being placed in receivership by the Angers Commercial Court on November 27.

The Le Nouvel R group, to which Connivence belongs, employs 120 people and generates sales of 16 million euros. While this integration should theoretically strengthen Connivence's financial capacities, synergies within the group now seem insufficient to absorb economic shocks. The question remains: how far will the Group be able to support its Anjou-based subsidiary?
