Flint Group opens new paperboard and Narrow Web plant in India

In November 2024, Flint Group inaugurated a new 9,000 m² facility in Salvi, Vadodara, in the state of Gujarat, strengthening its presence in India. The plant will produce water-based inks from the AQUACode range for paper and cardboard, as well as EkoCure Dual Cure inks for the Narrow Web label market. This state-of-the-art facility, designed to meet printers' sustainability and performance requirements, complements Flint Group's other Indian facilities, notably in Hosur and Lamdapura. This expansion illustrates the company's commitment to the growth of the Indian printing and packaging market.

Business climate in Germany: downturn in the printing and media sectors

Germany's printing and media sector contracted by 1.4% in November 2024, according to the Bundesverband Druck und Medien index. At 88.3 points, the index remains slightly higher than last year (+0.7%), but reflects a deterioration in the current situation and expectations for the next six months. While 11% of companies consider the situation to be positive, 30% see it as negative, particularly in the packaging and labels sectors (-71 points). Political uncertainty, amplified by the US elections and the end of the German coalition government, is helping to maintain caution in a stagnant economic climate.

Founded over 60 years ago, the Delort printing works, with its modern machinery and team of 34 employees, was awarded the Imprim'Vert label in 2000 and ISO 26 000 certification for its commitment to society.
