The Spanish Saica Group is to build a second corrugated board production plant in the United States. Located in Anderson, Indiana, this 32,500 m 2 will require an investment of $110 million (over ?100 million). The project is designed to strengthen the Group's presence in the North American market.
110 million m2 of cardboard packaging
Construction of the plant will start in May 2025, with commissioning scheduled for late 2026. The site will include areas dedicated to manufacturing, converting and storage, as well as administrative offices. The plant is also linked to a rail line for unloading paper reels. It is expected to produce over 110 million m 2 of corrugated board packaging per year. The site will create over 100 jobs by the end of 2030.

The new plant will also play a strategic role as a back-up unit for customers already supplied by Saica Pack Hamilton, guaranteeing continuity of service should the need arise.
The Saica Group and its ambitions for the US market
With this new plant, Saica is pursuing its development project in the United States, where the group plans to invest around 800 million dollars (over 737 million euros) over the next few years.
