Flexography: ECO3 to launch Magis Pro-Eco 300+ at Labelexpo 2025

Eco3's new Magis Pro-Eco 300+ flexo plate solution combines UV LED exposure and solvent-free treatment.

At Labelexpo Europe, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from September 16 to 19, 2025, Eco3 will be unveiling a new piece of flexographic photogravure equipment to the public for the first time: the Magis Pro-Eco 300+. This compact unit combines led exposure, washing, drying and finishing of flexo plates in a single workflow.

The Magis Pro-Eco 300+, an alternative to thermal energy

The Magis Pro-Eco 300+ is aimed primarily at converters of narrow web labels and photoengravers. It g flexo plates up to 610 x 762 mm.

Unlike thermal systems, the Magis Pro-Eco is based on an aqueous process combined with in-house Dry-Film-Lamination technology. Eco3 emphasizes consistency of results, finesse of rendering and repeatability, key elements for flexo production.

The use of UV LEDs eliminates the preheating time required for traditional lamps, and reduces power consumption. The manufacturer also assures us that the stability of light emission limits the need for recalibration due to lamp wear, a key factor in guaranteeing uniformity from one print run to the next.

Guy Desmet, head of strategy and marketing at Eco3, points out that the equipment makes it possible to manufacture aqueous sheet "more practical and accessible" for printers. He also emphasizes the integration of the Magis Pro-Eco 300+ in a "open solution which can be integrated into both aqueous and solvent streams.

With this launch, Eco3 completes a flexographic offering already comprising the Amfortis workflow, which automates production by bringing together several software tools, and solvent plate solutions, enabling hybrid environments. The package is enhanced by two technologies developed in-house: Spir\@l screening, created to enhance the rendering of gradations and fine details, and GridTune surface patterning, designed to even out ink transfer and solid density.

See you in Barcelona from September 16 to 19, 2025

On stand 5D13, Eco3 will explain how this open system can be integrated into an already-equipped workshop, and what investment options are available depending on the desired level of transition.
