The Tour de France served as a testing ground. Doublet, based in Avelin in the Nord department, acquired the Ideactif Group in January 2026; the group was founded in 1992 by Arnaud Peyroles, whom Doublet met during the Tour de France. This acquisition adds a tenth entity to the northern French manufacturer, which already operates in six countries with more than 350 employees.
Based in Clichy, the Ideactif Group comprises the Ideactif agency, which focuses on consulting, design, and event planning, and Theobora, a design and production studio dedicated to the fabrication, branding, and logistics of both fixed and mobile event displays.
The two companies were already working side by side on major events. Doublet has been deploying promotional displays at the Tour de France since 2002, while Ideactif designs brand activations and audience engagement activities for the event. The teams also collaborated on the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
With Ideactif, the flag manufacturer is expanding its offerings to include the design of brand activations, traveling event operations, and on-site experiences, bringing its full range of services to include creation, production, storage, logistics, and deployment.
"The flag is the oldest medium in the world. For nearly two centuries, we have been flying the colors of those who bring people together." ," says Gaëlle Doublet Colaert, chair of the Doublet Group?s executive board and a representative of the fourth generation of the family business founded in 1832. With Ideactif, she continues, Doublet is moving " The executive adds: "to a group that carries these colors right into the audience's experience."And first and foremost, it's a story about women and men: we met on the Tour, before we decided we wanted to write a story together." "By joining the Doublet Group, we are taking our business to a whole new level: we are gaining access to industrial resources and a European presence that are unprecedented in our industry, continues Arnaud Peyroles, founder and president of the Ideactif Group.
