Inspiration: the beauty of Iggesund's flowery paper

Paper is printed, cut, folded, assembled and illuminated with Iggesund.

Iggesund Paperboard is one of the most creative manufacturers in the world. And he is once again demonstrating his inventiveness with a highly entertaining marketing object. To show off the folding qualities of his thick Invercote paper, the Swede has produced a very nice volume creation: a water lily flower that you can assemble yourself.

The paper flower was originally designed by Iggesund's paper engineer Iain Smyth for the Luxe Pack Monaco 2015 packaging trade fair. It was a great success, with all visitors to the stand wanting to take the flower home with them. Today, the papermaker has decided to publish it on a larger scale.

The flower comes in the form of six A4 sheets and two A3 sheets. All the sheets are pre-cut and after a few folds and grooves, the pieces form a beautiful water lily that can hold a led lamp or a flat tealight in its heart. The light will underline the multiple petals and their complex imbrications.

And while this luminous water lily can look great on fireplaces or on a wedding table, it can also float on water, as the Invercote paper is plastic-coated, the manufacturer points out.

It is possible to receive this flower by ordering it on the papermaker's website at no charge. Nice, isn't it?
