A reward of 5000 euros will be awarded to the winner. The competition is intended for students.

The association Pro Carton announced in March the launch of a new video competition for students to promote cardboard. The winner will be awarded a prize of 5000 euros.

This free competition is more specifically aimed at European students in marketing, multimedia, business and film, says the European Cardboard Packaging Manufacturers Association . Students are invited to design a short commercial (between 30 seconds and 2.5 minutes) promoting cardboard packaging.

Tony Hitchin, General Manager of Pro Carton, explains:

"?Nous are delighted to launch this new initiative that invites students to promote the benefits of eco-friendly cardboard, a renewable, recyclable and biodegradable material. Building on our investment of over 30 years in the industry, we encourage young marketing and film students to bring an innovative vision to our work by expressing themselves through video.?»

The launch of this new competition follows on from the Pro Carton Young Designers Award, which is now one of Europe's most important creative design competitions for students.

Award ceremony in Krakow

The jury will be made up of experts in marketing, film, and the cardboard industry, who will view and rate the videos independently, says Pro Carton. The award ceremony will take place at a gala dinner in September in Krakow, Poland. The competition will close on July 3, 2020. Full details are available on the Pro Carton website.
