Lourmel Announces Measures to Support Graphic Arts Businesses

The group announces that it is committing seven million euros to support the profession.

In the midst of the Covid-19 health crisis, the Lourmel group stated in a press release dated 8 April "?s 'fully committed to supporting the industry graphiques?" .

7 million euros to support the profession

The members of the Lourmel Group (Carpilig/P and MGI) thus indicate that they have decided to exempt from employer and employee contributions the partial unemployment benefits and any additional salary paid by the companies, in order to maintain the net remuneration of employees, initially from 15 March to 30 April 2020.

This represents an amount of 7 million euros committed to support and accompany the profession, explains the group.

" ?Tous employees in the graphic industries who are on short-time working, covered by Lourmel, will benefit from the full maintenance of their health and welfare benefits provided by the members of the Lourmel Group: Carpilig/P and MGI. This strong measure will be subject to dedicated monitoring and will be reviewed if the health crisis continues after April 30.?»

Other measures put in place at the beginning of the crisis

Lourmel specifies that this measure complements and reinforces other measures put in place as a matter of urgency, particularly with regard to the possibility of deferring pension, health and provident contributions without penalty for the February and March 2020 deadlines.

Lourmel is a joint social welfare group dedicated to the graphic arts industries. 6?000 contributing companies in the printing, screen printing, cardboard and routing industries.
