The Carestia Arcade Beauty printing plant in Mouans-Sartoux near Grasse has just signed a partnership agreement for the exclusive manufacture of blotters distributed by Paperscent internationally.
The blotter, also known as a scent touch, allows you to test the perfume in stores or even in perfumers' laboratories and keep a souvenir of it. With every new fragrance that comes out, there are blotters associated with it. These unscented products are intended to be scented at the point of sale.
Developed by the company GK Concept, Paperscent takes the form of a compact box or a kiosk designed to diffuse fragrant touches at the point of sale, in response to consumer demand.
The device is designed in the image of the brand and allows the blotter to be decorated in real time by embossing the logo before impregnating it with perfume," explains the printer. Carestia can supply the blotter blank, but also pre-printed or hot gilded.
An exclusive partnership
Carestia Arcade Beauty conducted joint research with GK Concept to define a typology of card that is compatible with the machine's decoration technique, and to guarantee universal compatibility of the paper with the juices and inks used.
The two companies signed a partnership agreement giving Carestia exclusive rights to manufacture the blotters used by the PaperScent machine worldwide.
Founded in 1883, the Carestia printing house has always accompanied Grasse's perfumers. In the 1970/80s, it began collaborating with major brands thanks to a new product called "?touche to sentir?" or blotter (which means blotter in English). Since then, this product has become the heart of the company's activity.
