Tout'Com (13) goes beyond traditional large-format printing

The installation last July of a new large format printer allows Tout'Com to offer new applications to its customers.

Located in La Ciotat in the Bouches-du-Rhône, Tout'Com is a communication agency with its own production workshop. Last July, the seven-person company moved into larger premises of 800 m 2 to accommodate a second large format printer.

Brice Dessange, director and founder of Tout'Com, wanted to position himself on more qualitative or higher volume markets. To do so, he opted for a refurbished Nyala 2 machine from the Swiss manufacturer SwissQprint. This flatbed press with a printing area of 3.2?×?2.0 m has a production capacity of 206 m 2 /hour and a quality up to 1200 dpi.

Two weeks after signing the order form, this machine was at work in the new workshop. "We were in a great hurry to get it, because we needed a more productive printer to be able to respond to high-volume markets, explains Brice Dessange. With the Nyala 2, we do in one big day what we used to do in five. It eliminates the need to subcontract or tell our customers about extended deadlines."

More complex markets in sight with Nyala 2

And now, in addition to the traditional offers of colour printing on dibond, paper and cardboard, Tout'Com can offer visual and tactile effects and original media.
The Nyala 2 can be used to apply selective varnish, create relief and lenticular printing (for more info read The Droptix effect, a 3D optical effect created in inkjet printing ). It also prints on a wide variety of materials such as leather, glass, wood or aluminium.
With these new capabilities, Tout'Com is targeting more complex or luxurious business sectors, such as perfumery, interior decoration or photography.

Thanks to this machine, the agency has already produced POP displays for high-end products, prints on wood panels, badges and coasters. "We also made little pedestals printed on quality wood to display the shoes of a famous brand."

"La Nyala allows us to see further and to position ourselves in markets previously inaccessible to our agency. Thanks to it, we have access to applications reserved only for the owners of the machine." explains Brice Dessange . "With her, we are taking a great leap forward, to the satisfaction of our customers."
