Em. de Jong boosts production with a second Landa S10P press

Em. de Jong's new press will complement the existing Landa S10P, enabling more work to be carried out in shorter timescales.

Four years after his first order, printer Em. de Jong signs the purchase of a second Landa S10P Nanographic Printing press.

This new Landa S10P nanographic printing technology press will be installed in April 2024 alongside the other Landa S10P commissioned in 2020 at the Group's headquarters in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands. The Group, which employs 1,200 people at four printing plants in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, aims with this new investment in the B1 (1,050 mm) format duplex press to produce higher volumes and very short lead times of 24 hours or less, POP displays and a range of commercial applications such as brochures and magazines.

Stijn de Jong, CEO of Em. de Jong, explains: "The first Landa S10P has been very beneficial to the business, enabling us to offer a new, much faster service for higher volume grouped jobs. (...) For our customer base of major retail brands, faster turnaround is essential. Fast delivery of colorful prints is fundamental to enabling them to maximize seasonal business opportunities and increase sales."

In France, isère printing works FP Mercury recently acquired a Landa S10 single-sided press. The cardboard packaging manufacturer will start production on this nanographic machine this month.
