A major European printing company orders a Landa

The nanographic press is scheduled to go live at the beginning of next year.

A new Landa, the seventh, will be installed in Europe. The Em. de Jong Group, which employs 1,200 people in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, has placed an order for an S10P nanographic press. The press with the printing technology invented by Landa will be installed at the group's headquarters in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands.
With the new press, the group's seven printing plants are seeking to expand their range of substrates, increase productivity, optimise short-run requirements and reduce production times.

The Landa S10P is a double-sided B1 (104 cm) nanographic press with a printing speed of 6,500 sheets per hour. It is expected to go into operation in early 2020.

"The dimensions, speed, quality and versatility of the Landa S10P are unique, said Stijn de Jong, the CEO of Em. de Jong. For our commercial printing and POP markets, we currently use digital presses with toner, offset presses and large-format inkjet printers. All of these systems are important to us, but we are always looking for new technology that will give us a competitive advantage. The Landa S10P is exactly the right product for us."

The format of the Landa S10P is based on the standard size of sheet-fed offset presses. "This means that we will be able to streamline the production process, allowing us to meet the increased demand for short runs."

The printer adds: "In addition, as the Landa press can print on all types of uncoated paper, we plan to expand our current range of media to offer customers more choice." In particular, it will offer POS printing in 70 x 100 format.

"With full double-sided production and a print run of 6,500 sheets per hour, this press can meet all the needs of the market and will help us to develop our competitiveness. For us, this is a natural development." .

In France, the only Landa currently installed is located in the Prenant group, at the Diamant Graphic sheet-fed printing plant in Choisy-le-Roi in the Val-de-Marne (read the interview of Philippe Vanheste, marketing director of the Prenant group, on the arrival of this Landa) .
