Visitors to Fespa will be able to discover Canon's new products at a stand built like a concept store, designed to illustrate the real-life uses of its large-format inkjet technologies. From Tuesday May 6 to Friday May 9 in Berlin, Germany, the Japanese manufacturer will be demonstrating the Arizona, Colorado and imagePrograf models, integrated with the Prisma XL software suite. These demonstrations will showcase possible applications for interior decoration, signage, promotional packaging and point-of-sale printing.
Wood, glass and texture printing with Arizona
Canon will be showcasing the Arizona 2380 GTF flatbed, featuring FLXflow technology designed to manage supports by floating or suction holding.
At the show, the machine will be equipped with a reel module option that enables the transition from rigid to flexible without complex intervention. This configuration will be used to print on a variety of materials, including wood, cardboard and glass.
The manufacturer will also be presenting its Prismaelevate XL solution for the production of relief textures up to 4 mm, notably for Braille signage.
The Colorado M series for windows, wallpapers and signage in matt and gloss finishes
Also on display will be the Colorado M series. This printer will produce window stickers, wallpapers and flexible signage on a continuous basis.
It will feature FLXfinish+ technology for matte and gloss finishes in a single pass, FLXture for textured effects, and white ink management.
In addition, the UVgel Wallpaper Factory and Packaging Factory solutions will be on display at the Fotoba and Neolt stands, with a complete automated production line.
The imagePrograf, large format in 7 colors
Visitors will be able to see the 152.4 cm wide imagePrograf GP-6600S. This aqueous inkjet printer supports seven inks, including orange, to reproduce a wide gamut. The more compact imagePrograf TC-21M will also be on display, with its integrated flatbed scanner. A demonstration of PosterArtist software will show how easy it is to create customized posters, banners and flyers.
An integrated workflow from ordering to finishing
The stand will showcase a complete production workflow, from online ordering to file preparation, printing and shipping. Canon will integrate software solutions from partners such as OneVision, Symphony, Skyco, Erpa and Onyx. The media range will include sustainable papers, to meet market expectations in terms of environmental impact.
Feedback on the program
Canon will be showcasing a number of products developed in collaboration with its customers, including the florist Fiori, for space decoration. Other examples will showcase uses for carton packaging, point-of-sale displays, posters or decorative coatings printed on wood, glass or tiles. The space will also feature elements of the inclusive World unseen exhibition, developed by Canon to make photography accessible to the visually impaired.
