Canon replaces Red Label Superior with a certified carbon-neutral range

FSC and ClimatePartner certified, Canon's new Red Label Zero has a neutral carbon footprint. This range, which replaces Red Label Superior, is designed for toner and inkjet printing.

Canon completes its Zero range with an FSC and ClimatePartner-certified paper for companies seeking both print quality and reduced environmental impact. Introduced at Drupa 2024, the new Red Label Zero line is carbon-neutral and replaces the Red Label Superior range.

Compatible with toner and inkjet systems, Red Label Zero covers a wide range of commercial and office printing applications. It is available in A4, A3 and SRA3 formats, with weights ranging from 80 to 160 g/m² 2 . Coils are available on request.

Canon boasts a very smooth surface, guaranteeing sharp contrasts and good color reproduction. The paper has a whiteness of 168 CIE, a high hand and good opacity.

Red Label Zero papers are manufactured from fibers sourced from FSC- or PEFC-certified forests, and carry the EU-Ecolabel and Nordic Swan environmental labels. The substrates are bleached without elemental chlorine (ECF).

The paper is ClimatePartner certified, which implies a complete assessment of CO2 emissions throughout its life cycle. Residual emissions are offset through Gold Standard projects, notably in renewable energies. Canon thus assumes responsibility for the entire carbon impact of its products, including packaging, right through to delivery to the customer.

Since 2012, Canon has been working with ClimatePartner to offer a certified net-zero emissions package. According to the manufacturer, over 87âeuros000Â tonnes of CO2 have been offset to date via this scheme. The Climate Project Contribution (CPC) service also enables corporate customers to calculate their own printing-related carbon footprint, and to fund environmental projects in return.
