Koenig & Bauer Durst presented the latest updates to its corrugated production press Delta SPC 130 FlexLine Automatic for industrial solutions for runs of one to several million copies.

As a reminder, the two manufacturers have joined forces to develop and market a new range of digital printing systems for corrugated board and folding cartons.

The Delta SPC 130 FlexLine Automatic has been designed to handle small formats from 500 x 600 mm up to very large formats (1?300 x 2?800 mm) and to print a maximum thickness of 12 mm with water-based, food-compatible inks. It is equipped with a non-stop feeder, four-colour printing in a single pass, a drying and cooling section and a non-stop stacker.

New inks and automation features

New water-based orange and violet inks have been introduced to ensure that primary packaging complies with food safety standards and to extend the range of colours," explains Koenig & Bauer Durst.

The manufacturer also announced new automation features to ensure high productivity and integration into existing customer workflows.

The advantages of this technology include improved image quality and special effects, as well as reduced costs. Possible new effects include the enhancement of printing on corrugated board with uncoated substrates.

" ?Toutes these innovations for our Delta SPC 130 FlexLine Automatic are designed to exceed the needs of the market. Food safety and packaging are a constant topic of conversation. These new water-based inks will ensure food safety compliance for primary packaging and extend the colour gamut, which in turn will have a positive impact on brand management for marques? owners" said Robert Stabler, Managing Director of Koenig & Bauer Durst.
