New acquisition in the adhesive label for Fedrigoni

Fedrigoni has just acquired the Mexican company Industrial Papelera Venus.

The Italian papermaker Fedrigoni is strengthening its position on self-adhesive labels and increasing its presence abroad.
The group, which specialises in the production of specialty papers for packaging, graphic arts and self-adhesive labelling products, has completed the acquisition of Industrial Papelera Venus, a Mexican company that develops, produces and distributes adhesive materials.

Industrial Papelera Venus has sales of approximately $18 million, employs about 100 people and operates two production sites.

"This new acquisition will enable us to increase our production capacity, broaden our offering, create supply synergies, strengthen our presence in Central and South America and expand our market in the southern United States, regions in which we have a strong interest", said Marco Nespolo, CEO of the Fedrigoni group, which has a turnover of 1.6 billion euros.

With Ritrama specialized in adhesive products in January 2020 This is the second acquisition this year that strengthens Fedrigoni's position in the pressure sensitive labels sector on the international market.

In addition to numerous plants in Italy and Spain, Fedrigoni, which employs 4,000 people, already has production sites in China, Chile and Brazil.
