When are the holidays in 2021?

This year you can reuse your old 2010 calendar!

As we live the last days of this year 2020, it is time to look at the calendar of the coming year to discover what it holds for us in terms of holidays. With the same question that the French ask themselves every year: will 2021 be favourable for bridges?

In France, there are a total of eleven legal holidays set by the Labor Code. But only the 1 er may, the Labor Day, is compulsory for all employees (except for establishments or services that cannot stop their activities such as hospitals or public transport). The Labor Code does not provide for any provision concerning the "âeuros jours de pontsâeuros".

The new year 2021 will allow workers to enjoy four extended weekends. In addition, with Ascension Day and November 11 both falling on a Thursday, it will be possible for those who can put off Fridays to enjoy two extra weekends. However, no such luck for the 1st er may, May 8, August 15 and December 25. They all fall on weekends. The year 2021 has 254 working days.

A non-leap year

After 2020 which was a leap year (which has 366 days instead of 365 for a common year), 2021 is a non-leap year. Those who celebrate their birthday on February 29 will have to wait for the next leap year in 2024 to celebrate their birthday on the right date.

Finally for those who practice recycling old diaries or calendars, you have to go back 11 years to find a year similar to 2021. So this year you can reuse your old 2010âeuros calendar!
