A first electric truck for the Prenant group, an actor for Plein Ciel, new event cancellation, appearance of the logo forbidden to minors on alcohol, a design and graphic exhibition to discover... The small news of the week.

The Prenant Group changes its delivery method

The Prenant printing group, based in Vitry-sur-Seine, has invested in a 100% electric truck. For the past week, this Man vehicle, which can load four or five pallets of printed matter, has been serving inner Paris and its immediate suburbs.

"It was pretty obvious to us from an ecological standpoint. It is also an anticipation of future regulations. The city of Paris is expected to ban deliveries by combustion engine trucks in the next few years." explains Laurent Prenant, president of the group, which has three production sites and 400 employees.

The seven other trucks in the Paris fleet will gradually be replaced by electric models and the largest by hydrogen engines.

The Plein Ciel brand embodied by a French actor

The actor and comedian Philippe Lellouche is the ambassador of the Plein Ciel stationery brand. "a man in adequacy with our brand, enjoying a sympathetic image, with common shared values: passion for the job, commitment, proximity, and writing" says the company, which has nearly 200 stores in France.

"2021 will be punctuated by news and strong, impactful videos in which Philippe Lellouche will personify our values with institutional and promotional messages." she says.
In the first video, Philippe Lellouche goes back to the origins of the brand.

The 2021 book fair cancelled

For the second year in a row, Livre Paris 2021 is cancelled, announced the Syndicat National de l'Édition (SNE). The book fair, which should have been held in March, had already been postponed to May 28 to 31 next year because of the epidemic of covid-19 and health measures resulting from it.

"In view of the uncertainties of the coming months, and given the health measures in force which do not allow the organization of a public event of this magnitude in satisfactory conditions, the Syndicat national de l'édition (SNE), in agreement with Reed Expositions France, regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2021 edition of Livre Paris." announced the union co-organizing the event.

Pernot-Ricard affixes the logo prohibited to minors

The world's number 2 in wine and spirits sales, Pernod-Ricard, is adding a "no minors allowed" pictogram on all bottles produced by the French group's brands.
"This goal announced in January 2020 with its peers in the International Alliance for Responsible Drinking (IARD) was originally intended to be achieved for Pernod-Ricard by 2024. Pernod-Ricard has chosen to bring its timetable forward by three years, says the group.

Pernod-Ricard had also been a forerunner by deciding to put the pictogram forbidden to pregnant women on all its bottles in 2007.
