A Drupa with a Greater Focus on Automation
For the 2028 edition, Drupa plans to place greater emphasis on automation, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), materials, and the circular economy.
The integration of hardware, software, and data into connected production lines will be one of the main topics covered. Visitors will have the opportunity to see automated production lines and integrated processes in action.
"The industry is undergoing a period of rapid technological change. Automation, artificial intelligence, and connected production processes are transforming value chains and opening up new business opportunities." , explains Andreas Pleßke, chairman of the Drupa committee.
Four new themed areas
Drupa 2028 is also planning to reorganize its program around four themes: "grow," "create," "learn," and "play." These themes will bring together business activities, creativity, knowledge sharing, and professional networking.
In addition to manufacturers and printers, Messe Düsseldorf wants to give more prominence to brands, designers, and creative professionals.
Conferences, interactive presentations, and professional networking events will complement the exhibition. Young professionals, startups, and providers of emerging technologies will also benefit from an increased presence.
The trade show still has several months to finalize its list of exhibitors. Registration will close on October 31, 2026.
