Konica Minolta is launching the AccurioPress C8100 series, which consists of two digital color presses: the C8100 and C8090. As the successor to the C7100 generation, this new series stands out primarily for its integrated automated detection and adjustment features. The first shipments have begun.
The Japanese manufacturer positions these presses between the AccurioPress C5080, designed for low-volume production, and the C14010/S models, intended for higher-volume production. The C8100 series is designed for commercial printers, in-house copy centers, and offset printers looking to expand their digital production capabilities.
AccurioPress Intelligence for Automated Adjustments During Printing
The main development involves the automation of production control. Under the name AccurioPress Intelligence, Konica Minolta has brought together several functions that combine sensors, data analysis, and automatic adjustments during printing.
Toner presses feature functions such as media weight and size detection, color processing adjustments, and automated print quality control.
This automation should help minimize manual intervention?particularly during job changes?and reduce quality variations and paper waste.
"For production printing professionals, every minute of uptime gained, every sheet produced with consistent quality, and every reduction in waste directly contributes to profitability." , explains Karl-Friedrich Edenhuizen, head of the color printing systems product line at Konica Minolta Europe.
The AccurioPress C8100 achieves a maximum output of 100 A4 color pages per minute, while the AccurioPress C8090 can reach 90 pages.
