After 22 projects were submitted during the first edition, Let's Shine is back for a second season. The Konica Minolta contest is open only to French printers equipped with MGI's JetVarnish or AccurioShine.
Entrants must submit work that uses 3D varnish, digital foil stamping, a combination of both effects, or a combination of printing and finishing. There is no limit to the number of entries a printer may submit. The registration deadline is January 15, 2027.
Graphic creativity and the quality of execution as criteria
The jury will evaluate two aspects of each entry: the creativity of the design and the quality of its execution. Three prizes will be awarded to teams consisting of a creative and a technician. They will share 1,000, 600, and 300 euros, respectively.
"We want to encourage our customers to go further in exploring the possibilities of digital finishing , explains Régis Ruys, Industrial Printing Market Manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions France. In a market where print must constantly reinvent its ability to surprise and evoke emotion, these technologies offer printers new opportunities to stand out, enhance their offerings, and help their clients create materials with greater added value. The contest is also an invitation to take risks, experiment, and push the boundaries of print."
The winners will be announced at C!Print 2027 in Lyon on February 2 and 3.
The first edition brought together 15 participants and 22 projects: packaging, labels, business cards, invitations, and book covers. AGG Print, Durand Imprimeurs, and RectoVerso Imprimerie won the top three prizes. Color Alpilles received two special awards, and the École Estienne received the Education Award.
