Durst announced that it has tripled its sales of hybrid solutions over the past twelve months. This growth applies to production lines that combine digital printing, flexography, and finishing, particularly those that incorporate the digital module Tau G3, unveiled at Labelexpo 2025 . The Italian manufacturer, which has historically focused on digital inkjet printing, does not, however, disclose either the number of machines sold or the corresponding revenue.
By 2024, Durst, together with its partner Omet, had sold more than 20 hybrid presses worldwide. This figure included the XJet and KJet series, which were jointly developed by the two manufacturers.
Their collaboration dates back to 2018, with the launch of the XJet, followed in 2024 by the KJet. These two platforms combine Durst's digital inkjet technologies with Omet's flexographic and finishing equipment.
In France, the All4Labels Group is among the users of this equipment. In 2025, it ordered four Durst printing systems, including two XJet 510 hybrid presses for its sites in France and Romania.
In May 2026, Durst Image Technologie France also announced the sale of a KJet equipped with the new Tau G3 Peak digital unit to an unnamed French printer. This system is specifically configured to produce three-, five-, or seven-page booklet labels, with in-line printing and finishing.
At the same time, Durst is continuing to expand its labeling business with the announced acquisition of the Dutch manufacturer MPS Printing, scheduled for January 1, 2027, subject to the necessary approvals.
