Durst Surpasses 50 Units Sold of Its P5 500 TEX iSUB

Durst has sold more than 50 P5 500 TEX iSUB machines worldwide since the launch of this textile press at Fespa Global Print Expo 2025. The Italian manufacturer reports that sales are concentrated primarily in Europe and North America.
Designed for soft signage, event signage, and large-format textile applications, the P5 500 TEX iSUB prints at a maximum width of 5.2 meters using water-based sublimation inks. It incorporates the iSUB inline mounting system to combine printing and mounting in a single process. In 2026, Durst supplemented this configuration with a 5-meter Hasler cutting system.

A New Brand Identity for Daddy Kate and Its Four Production Sites

The Daddy Kate Group is unifying its four graphic production facilities in Belgium and France under a single brand identity.
In France, the Libercourt facility in the Pas-de-Calais department is being renamed Daddy Kate Lille, while Imprimerie Faurite?acquired in 2024 and located in Miribel, in the Ain department?is being renamed Daddy Kate Lyon.
In Belgium, the Sint-Pieters-Leeuw facility will become Daddy Kate Brussels. Publi-FDM, which was acquired in 2023 and specializes in large-format printing and visual communications, will be renamed Daddy Kate XL and will move to a new production facility in Bavegem in November.

The Daddy Kate Group operates four facilities specializing in commercial printing, large-format printing, and visual communications. The group employs approximately 220 people and generates revenue of more than 50 million euros. The group is owned by the Belgian family-owned holding company Nano Capital.

Imprimerie du Lauragais Becomes Le Noisetier

Le Noisetier is adopting a unified brand identity for its two printing plants in Lavelanet, in the Ariège department, and Castelnaudary, in the Aude department. The Castelnaudary facility is thus dropping the name Imprimerie du Lauragais and will now be known as Le Noisetier.

This development follows the merger between the two printing companies that began in late 2024. After nearly two years of operating together, the two facilities are now continuing their operations under the single Le Noisetier brand.

Ricoh Will Double Its Inkjet Printhead Production Capacity

Ricoh will build a new production facility at its Atsugi site in Japan to expand its inkjet printhead production capacity. Ultimately, the company plans to more than double its current production.

The future four-story building will cover approximately 39,000 m 2 . Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2026, with the facility expected to become operational in the first half of fiscal year 2028. Ricoh will consolidate operations there that are currently spread across several buildings.

The future factory will combine high-precision manufacturing, automated production lines, robotics, and automated material handling. Production tools, quality control, and logistics operations will be digitally connected. Ricoh also plans to digitize its technicians? expertise and leverage it with artificial intelligence to support production and quality control decisions.

These inkjet printheads are designed specifically for the visual communications, labeling and packaging, and textile markets, as well as for functional printing applications.

UPM Launches a PFAS-Free, Grease-Resistant Face Paper for Labels

UPM Specialty Materials is expanding its barrier paper technology?previously used for packaging?to labels. The new UPM Asendo 80, with a basis weight of 80 g/m 2 , offers grease resistance without the addition of PFAS during its manufacture.

Designed primarily for labels on food packaging and oily products, the paper is compatible with various types of adhesives as well as UV flexographic and UV inkjet printing.
Available with FSC or PEFC certification, UPM Asendo 80 meets U.S. FDA and German BfR requirements for food contact.

A3 Adhesif has been placed in bankruptcy proceedings

The printing company A3 Adhésif, based in Juillac-le-Coq in Charente, was placed in judicial liquidation on September 3, 2026, by the Angoulême Commercial Court.
