Hubergroup offers its NewV UV inks in a low-tack version

Hubergroup is expanding its NewV line of UV offset inks with new low-tack versions, now available for the NewV Pack Premium, NewV Set LED, NewV Pack MGA, and NewV Poly MGA series.
This development must meet the growing demand from printers who are faced with variations in paper quality and ever-increasing print speeds.

Tack?which refers to the ink?s adhesive strength?can cause fibers to be pulled out of certain sensitive papers or uncoated cardstock if it is too high. According to the German printing ink manufacturer, the new formulations retain the rheological properties of the existing product lines while reducing the risk of substrate fiber pull-out, delamination on multilayer materials, and disruption of the ink-water balance.

Tetra Pak and Jealsa Launch the First Carton Packaging for Canned Tuna

Tetra Pak and the Spanish seafood producer Jealsa are launching what they describe as the first carton package designed for canned tuna. The solution is based on Tetra Recart, which is already used for other long-shelf-life food products.

Launched last month in Sweden by Axfood in a 200-ml size, this packaging serves as an alternative to traditional metal cans.

This packaging would have a smaller carbon footprint than steel cans or glass jars. It would also contain up to 71% FSC-certified paper and is distinguished by its rectangular shape, which makes it easier to store, transport, and stock on shelves.

Following this initial launch, Jealsa plans to expand the use of Tetra Recart to several other products.
