Thijs Claes becomes President of Febelgra
Thijs Claes, head of Daddy Kate, which employs over 300 people in France and Belgium and generates sales of around 75 million euros in offset, digital, large-format and finishing printing, takes over the presidency of Febelgra, the Belgian federation of the graphics industry.
The change will be made official at the Annual General Meeting on June 18.
"At a time when the sector is evolving, this role goes beyond mere representation: it's about giving direction, strengthening collaboration and helping to define the future of our industry, says Daddy Kate.
This appointment also reflects a strong belief at Daddy Kate Group: strong companies contribute to a strong industry. Taking responsibility beyond one's own organization isn't always the easiest route, but it's often the most meaningful."

This installation is designed to produce energy in an environmentally-friendly way, reducing the use of fossil fuels.

Fedrigoni's Italian plants switch to biomethane
The Italian Fedrigoni Group has signed a contract to supply biomethane to cover around 40% of the gas needs of its Italian plants. It thus becomes one of the first Italian manufacturers of specialty papers to make a large-scale commitment to this renewable energy.
Biomethane, distributed via the existing gas network and certified to European standards, replaces part of the natural gas of fossil origin. This solution is particularly important for the paper industry, where it remains difficult to completely replace gas with electricity.
With this agreement, Fedrigoni estimates that it will be able to reduce the carbon footprint of products manufactured at the sites concerned by 30-50%. The group also stresses that this choice will help secure its energy supply in an unstable international context.
