Belgian group Daddy Kate pursues its strategy in France with Imprimerie Rey

The acquisition of Imprimerie Rey is Daddy Kate's 17th external growth operation since its creation, and its second in 2025.

The Daddy Kate printing group adds a new line to its acquisition history. Imprimerie Rey, based in Meyzieu in the Rhône region, will join the group by integrating the Imprimerie Faurite, itself acquired by Daddy Kate in early 2024 and near Lyon.

Imprimerie Rey, with sales of ?2 million and ten employees, will be absorbed early next year. It had been in receivership for a year. Its manager Laurent Aboab will remain with the team. "This strategic move will enable us to strengthen our industrial footprint in Lyon, create operational synergies and continue to build a solid, future-proof printing platform." says Daddy Kate.

Two acquisitions by 2025 for Daddy Kate, both in France

This acquisition in France is the second announced by the group since the beginning of the year. By June 2025, Daddy Kate had already taken over the Pacaud printing works in Coudekerque-Branche, Nord. Production has since been transferred to the Daddy Kate France site in Libercourt, Pas-de-Calais. A sales office remains active on site.

With this operation, Daddy Kate brings its total number of acquisitions to 17, including seven in France. Founded in 1978, the family-owned Belgian group now employs over 300 people in France and Belgium, with sales of around 75 million euros in offset, digital, large-format and finishing printing.

Since 2024, two other printing plants have been taken over: ICR in Belgium and Moutier in northern France.
