A new chapter begins for MR Factory. As of June 1, the digital production of small series has been taken over by Nortier Emballages, headed by Benoit Boulet.
MR Factory was launched in 2019 by Jonathan Mihy as part of MR Cartonnage Numérique, a subsidiary of the Diam International group. Based in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône with its 24 employees, MR Factory produces high-end digital boxes.
With this acquisition, Nortier Emballages, which specializes in folding cartons for the perfume, cosmetics, skincare and luxury goods markets, aims to "accelerate its development in the digital sector and "expand its value proposition for all its customers" .
Consolidation on a single site
MR Factory's operations will be relocated to the Nortier site by the end of October. The move is facilitated by the geographical proximity of Nortier and MR Factory, both located in the Val-d'Oise, less than three kilometers away.
For Jonathan Mihy, the complementary nature of the two structures guided this choice. " Thanks to its digital expertise and complementary industrial capabilities, Nortier Emballages will be able to support MR Factory's development and pursue its evolution in synergy with its existing activities."
Back to models and artworks for MR Cartonnage Numérique
The sale also marks a change of direction for MR Cartonnage Numérique. In a message addressed to its customers, the company explains that it intends to concentrate its resources on its core business of industrial models and artworks.
It is also strengthening its presence in the United States in these activities. MR Factory's current projects are to be gradually transferred between May and July to ensure continuity of production and commercial relations.
