The PPA printing plant has been closed since June 15. Placed under court-supervised restructuring in February, the Montreuil-en-Seine%E2euros%93Saint-Denis printing plant has been liquidated. All 19 employees have lost their jobs.
A recovery halted due to a lack of funding
PPA's revenue had fallen from 7.2 million euros in 2024 to 5.2 million in 2025. Yet a solution still seemed possible. A potential buyer had come forward, but their plan hinged on acquiring the Komori H-UV GL640 six-color offset press with a coating unit, which had been installed just two years earlier. In the end, this printer was unable to secure the necessary financing, putting an end to hopes for a takeover.
Expertise in luxury prints
With this liquidation, a workshop with a unique positioning is disappearing. PPA, formerly PPA-Mahé, worked almost exclusively for luxury brands and had chosen to focus on added value rather than volume.
The printing shop run by Eric Broche handled only 500 to 600 projects per year, each requiring comprehensive oversight from photogravure through delivery. Annual reports, brochures, perfume sample cards, and small point-of-sale displays required a high level of expertise in color management, one of the workshop?s specialties.
"It's really sad that it's come to this. A great French industry is closing down." , says a former employee regretfully.
