W&H Launches Oneflex, a New Central-Drum Flexographic Press

With Oneflex, Windmöller & Hölscher is updating its line of central-drum flexographic presses. The German manufacturer offers two versions, one of which is capable of reaching 700 m/min.

Windmöller & Hölscher is launching Oneflex, a new central-imprint (CI) flexographic press designed for printing flexible packaging. Unveiled at the recently concluded Pack Expo International trade show in Chicago, this press is based on a new modular platform and a completely redesigned printing unit.

The German manufacturer offers a configuration with eight or ten colors, with a maximum print width of 1,650 mm. Until now, this format had been reserved for W&H's high-end presses. The maximum production speed is 600 m/min.

W&H rounds out the lineup with Oneflex Ultimate, a configuration designed for applications requiring higher throughput. This Ultimate version reaches a speed of 700 m/min.

A new print unit and maximum security

The main technical advancement involves the printing unit, which is designed to improve print stability at high speeds. W&H has also redesigned the press?s architecture to facilitate access to various components and simplify daily operations for press operators.

Special attention has been paid to safety, with new safety features and a layout designed with operators in mind. The manufacturer is introducing Oneflex as its CI flexographic press "the most advanced to date in terms of security" .

"The new printing unit, modular architecture, and operator-centered design meet the day-to-day needs of printers: consistent print quality, high production output, ease of use, and the flexibility needed to adapt to changing production requirements." , explains Holger Kreilkamp, director of product management at W&H.
