Picourt Packaging, which specializes in compact cardboard packaging and self-adhesive labels, is to receive 800,000 euros from the Plan France Relance, reports The Vimeu Scout (west of Picardy).
The company, based in Frucourt in the Somme region, plans to double its activity within five years and create jobs, Olivier Picourt, the director of Picourt Packaging, told the local newspaper.
The subsidies will allow the company to acquire new printing machines, including an inkjet machine for packaging personalization. With a total project cost of 1.6 million euros, the government's support will finance half of the project, reports the weekly.
France Relance, a 100 billion euro plan
Presented by the Government in September, the France Relance plan, amounting to 100 billion euros, aims to sustainably recover the French economy and create new jobs. In March 2021, the government declared that nearly 16 billion euros, excluding production taxes, had already been committed, including 4 billion in productive investments to install a new production line.
A window has also been opened to allow SMEs (and ETIs) to benefit from aid for investments in transformation to the industry of the future. This is a "cash support concomitant with the investment" that should allow French companies to improve the competitiveness of their production processes, says the government.
The aid ranges from 40% to 10% of the cost of the investment, depending on various conditions.
