Global Graphics launches SmartDFE for labeling and packaging applications. Developed for the first time by all of the company's subsidiaries - Global Graphics Software, Hybrid Software, Meteor Inkjet and Xitron, this digital front end (DFE) is designed to be the heart of a fully automated manufacturing system. It supports Industry 4.0 telematics, MIS systems and OPC UA connectivity with automated manufacturing lines.
SmartDFE combines print-ready PDF creation, page layout, variable data printing, workflow automation, job costing and production controls, RIP usage, screening, image quality optimization, and printhead control into a single solution.
It can collect detailed data from an individual press and share it with the entire plant. It can also generate knowledge from the data to predict and control the press.
